A.R.T.S. 

The wave... it is on the horizon... it's been growing for some time... a shift in consciousness.

Individual and collective transformation...

Organizations such as The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) have been conducting and sponsoring leading-edge research into the potentials and powers of consciousness to light the way to a new era in human development.

A new movie ("The Shift") is in filming stage at this time - a chronicle of the shift in collective consciousness and social transformation that we are in the midst of. "A Movie Made by a Movement"...

What does this have to do with ARTShift / A.R.T.S.?

It is something I have been visualizing in my mind for some time...
a collective organization and collaboration of artistic minds focused on raising awareness and contributing to the positive social transformation through our efforts... in our creative output and personal/group activities.

The Full name of that organization is Artists Resonating The Shift...

The acronyms I am working with are ARTShift and A.R.T.S.

What does this organization "look like"?

That is still unfolding... and needs the collective mastermind to help it evolve.

I have a vision of it, but one mind alone will not bring it into being...

The discussions have started with a few of my creative friends but I wanted to put the idea out there to make it available to those who want to participate and help it grow.

In my view, our gift is also a responsibility...
as artists, we have the ability to touch other minds and souls with our creations.

Together we can help spread the awareness and help ourselves and others to make The Shift to a more positive consciousness.

Beginning to Flesh Out the Idea

Artists Foment Change--My Perspective...

Historically there has always been a strong connection between art and cultural paradigm shifts. The major evolutions and progressions in thought have always been accompanied by reflections of what can be, what should be, what is right and what is wrong within all forms of art.

Artists have historically pushed the boundaries of societal norms and cultural mores. They have raised awareness of issues, crossed the lines of what is acceptable, in a constant search for what is possible, what is universally true and how mankind can and should be able to interact.

In that way artists have been revolutionaries, most often for positive change to create a better world. That is what ARTShift is about.

Not only have artists pushed those boundaries in their works, but art, in-and-of itself, brings people together without regard to education level, background, lineage, culture or any other delineator commonly used to put up walls and separate peoples and interests and cause friction and animosity. Next time you go to a museum, look around at the cross-section of humanity there to simply appreciate the fruits of human creativity. Next time you go to a concert, look around—it is amazing how art can bring the most diverse set of people together in a spirit of mutual appreciation where all can get along together.

These are the special gifts of artists—to push change for the better, to bring awareness to issues which divide us and overcome those issues through common appreciation of artistic work.

As a musician, I do not take my influence through my music lightly. I realize that with creative ability comes an awesome responsibility. I choose to accept that responsibility and use it to attempt to create a better world.

All this is only the tip of the iceberg. It takes the viewpoints, ideas, works, thoughts and spirit of many to create a powerful, unified, yet diverse vision for creating positive change in the world. That’s why we need your input. We want to hear what you think and feel…join us.
